What is cold therapy?
Cold therapy involves immersing the body in cold or ice water to stimulate health benefits and treat health conditions. The premise being that cold water eases pain by causing blood vessels to constrict and reducing blood flow to the area (which is the reason ice reduces swelling and inflammation). Forms of cold therapy include ice baths, cold showers, cold water immersion, cold pools or cryo-chambers. Leisurecraft and Coldture use ice baths as, based on studies and research, we believe they offer superior benefits.
 When and how often should I use an ice bath?
 That depends on your performance goals. If you’re looking to improve your endurance, you want to cool before, during or after. Whereas if you are looking to build strength, it’s ideal to wait 4hrs after training to get the body to respond to the stimuli. If you’re just looking for the overall general physical and mental health benefits, soak in an ice bath post training. There have been studies done that as little as 11 minutes total during the week broken down in 2-3 days has a significant response in activating your metabolism.
What is the optimal ice bath temperature?
 There is some debate but leading experts recommend anywhere between 8-15 degrees Celsius/46.4-59 degrees Fahrenheit for anywhere from as little as 2-20 minutes. It’s best to start with a higher temperature/shorter time and give yourself the goal of adjusting the variable to challenge yourself as you become accustomed to using ice baths as a recovery or resilience training . Advanced ice bathers sometimes go as low as 3 degrees Celsius/37.4 degrees Fahrenheit. (Which is why our ice baths chill that low!)

As our business has grown, so has the weight of some of our products. Shipping is FREE on most orders to customers within the contiguous USA. For some of our heavier items and items shipped via LTL/Freight, we have to charge for shipping.

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order we automatically check to confirm that your order is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on back-order or unavailable we will void the pre-authorization and
reach out to you via e-mail to see if alternate arrangements can be made.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days) we will process the charges and get to work preparing your order for shipment.


Order Shipment:

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card it will ship within three business days from the date of your order.  We will send you shipping confirmation within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.   If you do not receive shipping confirmation from us within four business days of your order feel free to follow up with us at sales@modernoutdoorlifestyle.com.


International Orders:

We will happily ship our fantastic products to international customers. Due to the extremely wide variety of product dimensions we will provide an up to date shipping price quote for you on request. If you are happy with our shipping quote we will prepare an order and payment though our ultra secure online payment gateway.


Damages:

Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery or do not agree to accept the delivery. If you do accept delivery you are required to immediately take photos using your smart phone or camera of the damaged packaging or products inside the packaging.
